Dew Point Control Plant, Campo Duran

• Abstract:

UTE AGUARAGUE (Tecpetrol, YPF, Petrobras and others), chose DARNELL to design and turn-key supply a Hydrocarbon dew point control Unit, mechanical refrigeration process, capacity 71 MMSCFD, to be installed in Campo Duran gas field, Province of Salta. This unit will control the hydrocarbon dew point of gas to selling specifications: -4 C metered at 5.500 Kpa. The gasoline produced in this process, will be sent to a condensate stabilizing Unit which has been recently installed.

• Unit Description:

  • SK-101, Filtration and metering skid : Inlet wet gas filtration and inlet wet gas and outlet dry gas metering.
  • Sk-102, process skid: Gas / Gas exchanger, gas / gasoline exchanger, Chiller and cold Separator.
  • Sk-103, auxiliary refrigerant skid: Suction separator, economizer, refrigerant receivers.
  • Sk-104 A/B/C, refrigerant compressors: Compressors, screw type, capacity 120 RT at –15 C evaporation and 50 C condensation. Every compressor has a of 50 % process capacity (2 in operation, 1 stand-by).
  • Sk-105, glycol: MEG regeneration .
  • 6. A-B80A&B /A-B81A&B, refrigerant condensers, air-cooler type.
  • Off-sites: Sk-106, refrigerant storage tank skid, 20 M3 capacity; Sk-107 flare knock-out drum skid; a flarestack, non-smokeless type.


• Project Performance:


This project started in July this year, in the month of September the process Engineering for this unit was completed, including the detail Engineering for the equipment and skids; and manufacturing of equipment further started. Our time schedule shows that field works will start in the month of November this year and that this unit will be delivered in March 2001 under operating conditions.
