The natural gas industry gathers, treats and refines raw natural gas into salable gas processes. The processing includes, gas gathering systems, primary gas separation from free liquids carryover by gas, such as oil and / or condensates and water (primary separation), gas filtration from primary separation (gas filtration) and further treatment of filtered gas (gas processing facilities) to obtain a product which may be sold on the marketplace (salable gas processes).
This processing includes the refinement of other products, such as: free condensates, condensate gasolines and / or liquefied gas (LPG) for selling purposes. These refined products (gas, condensates, LPG) are used as fuel gas and / or as feedstocks for the chemical and petrochemical industries.
In general terms, natural gas processing involves: removing excess water by means of TEG units; extracting desired liquid components through compression, low-temperature separation and / or turbo-expansion and fractionating extracted liquids into individual components. Other critical processes, manage/separate sour or acid gases, such as: H2S and CO2 by means of absorption with selective Amines.
